How to attract advertisers
After you managed to create an audience you are probably aware of the fact that you are operating on a certain niche market. Obviously, people are interested in what you have to say. Use your specific audience to attract advertisers. Remember you have got something very valuable: A certain amount of people that is interested in the topic of your podcast! All these people searched on the subject, found it interesting, and even subscribed: That's a lot of effort!

Don't expect advertisers to come to you. You need to go get some advertisers yourself by either contacting these parties by phone, internet, (e)mail, or better: face to face. This could take a lot of time! Convince potential advertisers of your niche market! Times are changing: Podcasting has all opportunities in the future!

How do I know how big my audience is?
You can easily see the number of downloads of your podcasts on the statistics of your website. It gets harder to find out how many of them regularly listen to your show, or even subscribed. There are a couple of ways to measure the number of listeners you have. If you get an account at Feedburner.com, they check the number of original downloads of your podcast. This way, you will know approximately how many 'regulars' you have.
